A long time board member and past president of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida, Garey Butler has extensive experience working with retail, healthcare, hotel, restaurant, banking, governmental entity, and national builder clients in real estate acquisition, development and operational matters.  He concentrates in commercial and residential real estate, and represents numerous corporate and business clients.  His practice includes advising on the purchase and sale of land and buildings, and other property rights such as easements and restrictive covenants.  Mr. Butler assists banks and other lenders in preparing and documenting construction and permanent financing arrangements, negotiating restructures of loans, and advising regarding foreclosure actions.  He also counsels landlords and tenants in commercial and retail lease negotiations for both single units and shopping center locations and helps agricultural land owners properly document cattle and farming leases to preserve valuable agricultural tax exemptions.
