Heidi Frederic has been a passionate supporter of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida since she assisted her husband, Fred, with it’s founding.   In 1994 Heidi was a member of the founding committee of the signature fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House, the Storybook Ball, and she has consistently continued her support of this event to this day as a committee member. She is also a past chairman of the Ronald McDonald House Golf Tournament. Heidi serves as a member of the Board of Directors, as well as the Grants committee and the Marketing committee.

After attending the University of Portland, Heidi continued her education in Europe attending the University of Florence, the University of Barcelona and the Sorbonne, majoring in European languages and culture.

Heidi and her husband, Fred, are natives of Los Angeles and both became McDonald’s operators in 1970. In 1980 they founded the first Ronald McDonald House in Los Angeles. Heidi’s additional philanthropic endeavors while residing in California include:

Heidi currently serves as a committee member of the Fort Myers/Lee County Garden Council, the Fiddlesticks Garden Club and is a member of the Pipers, a philanthropic organization within the Fiddlesticks community.
